This edition of the Brisbane Home Show features two dynamic stages designed to inspire and elevate your home and lifestyle.

The Home Inspo Stage brings together leading Home Design Experts who share the latest trends, innovative ideas, and practical tips to help transform your living spaces.

At the same time, the Cooking Stage will be graced by renowned chef Carmel Carmichael, who will demonstrate her expertise in creating mouthwatering dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

James Treble

James is a Sydney-based, award-winning Interior Designer with over 30 years of experience. He is a TV presenter on shows like Open Homes Australia and Renovate Or Rebuild. 

James is known for his practical approach to design and his advocacy for reusable and renewable materials. He has launched an online course called Practical Design to share his expertise with others.

Speakers

The Cooking Stage is where culinary creativity comes to life. Each day, renowned chef Carmel Carmichael will take the stage, sharing her knowledge, skills, and delicious recipes to inspire your next kitchen adventure. From innovative dishes to expert techniques, Carmel’s sessions are the perfect way to ignite your passion for cooking.

Carmel Carmichael

For over 30 years, Carmel has championed Australia’s freshest local ingredients, working alongside Fresh Food Retailers to highlight seasonal produce and creative ways to prepare it. Her Southern Italian heritage fuels her passion for cooking wholesome meals that everyone can enjoy.

Carmel’s advocacy for locally sourced, nourishing food has seen her share the stage with celebrity chefs on shows like MasterChef and MKR, as well as collaborate with chefs across Queensland and Australia. Her culinary journey has taken her across the country, from Western Australia to Queensland.

At the upcoming Home Show in Brisbane, Carmel will be cooking a range of delicious dishes, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Day 1 Menu:

Appetisers:

  • Peach Crostini with Ricotta and Balsamic Glaze
  • Goat’s Cheese and Bacon Balls on Dried Apple
 

Main Course:

  • Lamb Backstrap with Pear and Gorgonzola Salad, Drizzled with Fig Dressing
 

Dessert:

  • Chocolate Mousse with Blueberries, Raspberries, and Almond Crunch

Day 2 Menu:

Appetisers:

  • Individual Eggplant Parmigiana Baked in the Oven, Paired with Pear and Prosciutto Canapés
 

Main Course:

  • Either Fresh Ravioli with Spinach and Ricotta, or Ricotta Gnocchi with Fresh Cherry Tomato Sauce
 

Dessert:

  • An Elevated Version of Eton Mess, Featuring Meringue Bark with Almonds and Pistachios, Served with Cherry Compote and Cream

Day 3 Menu:

Appetisers:
