The Queensland Building and Construction Commissioner (QBCC) is Queensland’s independent regulator, supporting more than 120,000 licensed contractors—from painters and plumbers; chippies and concreters. We empower home owners to make informed decisions—like choosing licensed contractors and ensuring contracts are written, signed, and dated—to help prevent issues and disputes before they arise. We’re committed to building a more customer-focused QBCC to make it easier for home owners to engage with us. This means commonsense improvements to service delivery and to ensure greater transparency around decision-making processes. A key part of this is our new Home Owner Hub—a practical online resource designed to guide home owners through five-steps of building or renovation.
