Each day, these stages showcase Home Design Experts and our talented chef, sharing a wealth of knowledge, the latest trends and practical tips, from creating beautiful spaces to cooking with confidence at home.
James is a Sydney-based, multi-award-winning interior designer with over 30 years’ experience across design, real estate and building.
He is a TV presenter on Open Homes Australia and Renovate or Rebuild, and was a long-time designer on The Living Room. Known for his Practical Design approach, James mentors emerging designers and advocates sustainable materials.
Align Kitchen
Alana is a Designer, Director and Creative at Align Kitchens. With a background in design, event management and hands-on building experience, she creates considered, practical interiors. Known for calm leadership and attention to detail, Alana delivers thoughtful spaces that balance vision, craftsmanship and everyday living.
Cortec Floors
Belgian-born with a background in civil engineering and sales, Arthur moved to Australia for COREtec®, the world’s leading hybrid flooring brand, where he co-leads product development across the Asia-Pacific region.
QBCC
Cameron Byram is Director of Licensing Services at QBCC, with nearly 30 years’ experience across policing, compliance and regulation in Queensland. Formerly a Detective Inspector and senior investigator, he now oversees major improvements to the QBCC licensing program, drawing on extensive leadership across enforcement and regulatory roles.
Eighty8 Interior Designs
Candice is a renowned interior designer with over 18 years’ industry experience, known for her eclectic style and bespoke approach. Founder of a design store on Tamborine Mountain, she specialises in residential, Airbnb and hotel styling, and was voted #1 Best Interior Designer 2025 in the Scenic Rim QLD.
Kave Home Australia
Clara is the Marketing Manager at Kave Home Australia, a Spanish-designed furniture brand present in over 80 countries. With international experience in the home and living industry, she leads marketing and e-commerce across ANZ, bringing the brand’s warm, timeless Mediterranean design to Australian homes.

Damian Corney has been designing and producing wallpaper in Australia for over 20 years. Known for his creative expertise, he regularly appears on TV renovation shows, helping homeowners bring walls to life. Damian specialises in wallpaper trends, styling and practical application, making statement design accessible and achievable for everyday spaces.
Disko Designs
Dave Harvey is an award-winning interior designer and the creative force behind Disko Designs, a Brisbane-based studio. Known for his collaborative approach, Dave creates functional yet beautiful interiors tailored to his clients’ lifestyles, delivering timeless spaces that feel personal and truly reflective of those who live in them.

Kribashini Hannon is a leading Australian building strategist, published author, and founder of BPL. She co-founded BuildHer and co-authored its bestselling guide, empowering thousands of women to renovate and build with confidence.
Royale Cabinets
Levi leads Royale Cabinets, a Brisbane-based joinery company specialising in high-end, design-led cabinetry since 1989. Working with builders, designers and homeowners across Southeast Queensland, he delivers cabinetry that balances refined aesthetics, practicality and enduring quality, guided by a strong commitment to craftsmanship, care and consistency.
Elsewhere Pods
Matt Decarne is Founder and CEO of Elsewhere Pods, a modular design company redefining how Australians live, work and travel. Inspired by Byron Bay and the 2022 floods, he created sustainable, flexible, beautifully designed spaces—now used for backyard studios, retreats and eco-resorts nationwide.
Michael Christopher Design
Michael Davis is a Director at Michael Christopher Design, bringing decades of experience in kitchen design and the appliance industry. Having worked in Sydney, Seattle and Chicago, he blends global insight with an understanding of Australian living, creating kitchens that balance style, performance and everyday usability
Building Approvals and Advice (BA&A)
With 20 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer and Building Certifier, Michael has seen thousands of Brisbane backyards transformed by pools and spas. Working with the BA&A pools team, he supports builders and professionals to streamline approvals, meet safety requirements and deliver residential pool projects smoothly, safely and efficiently.
Re:scape Design
Re:scape Design founder Ricky Burgess knows a thing or two about how to level up a backyard. The Sunshine Coast family man began landscaping as a teen in Cooroy and has since grown his business from the ground up. Today, Re:Scape Design operates across both the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
Sentra Tech
With over a decade in the electronics industry, Sam is the architect behind some of south-east Queensland’s most cutting-edge smart homes. From IT and A/V, to security, he doesn’t just design systems - he weaves them together seamlessly, creating connected homes that are as smart as they are effortless.
KBDi
Selina Zwolsman has been a familiar face in the KBDi community for over a decade. As Design & Communications Manager and Awards Judging Coordinator, she reviews Australia’s leading kitchen and bathroom designs and translates expert insights into practical, homeowner-friendly advice.
Carmel is a passionate food presenter with over 30 years’ experience showcasing Australia’s freshest seasonal produce. Working closely with local food retailers, she demonstrates how to transform everyday ingredients into wholesome, family-friendly meals.
Inspired by her Southern Italian heritage, Carmel’s cooking celebrates food, family and community. She has shared the stage with celebrity chefs from shows including MasterChef and My Kitchen Rules, and returns to the Brisbane Home Show creating vibrant seasonal dishes using premium Smeg appliances.
