RSL Art Union

RSL Art Union was created in the spirit of mateship. After World War I, returned veterans were finding life difficult as a result of physical injury and the harmful mental effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many veterans were living in poverty and despair. As a way to provide a secure funding source for RSL Queensland, the RSL Art Union was created, allowing the continuation of support programs so many veterans, and families, relied upon. Today, that spirit of mateship continues. Every ticket sold goes towards supporting current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members and families through a range of services from advocacy and employment to emotional and physical wellness programs.
