James is known for his practical approach to design and his advocacy for reusable and renewable materials. He has launched an online course called Practical Design to share his expertise with others.

Andrea Vaughan has over 38 years of experience designing kitchens across the UK, USA, and Australia, and was the KBDi WA Kitchen Designer of the Year in 2024. Now she leads the award-winning Designs by Andrea studio, helping homeowners create kitchens that blend thoughtful planning, practical functionality, and beautiful design.
Well Organised
Anna turned a lifelong knack for organisation into Well Organised, Perth’s trusted decluttering service. With 20+ years corporate experience, she now helps clients create calm, functional homes. A member of IOPO and Mental Health First Aider, she brings empathy and expertise to every space.
Bennett Design Studio
Anne is the founder of Bennett Design Studio, specialising in residential interior and building design. With 30 years of experience across Australian and international projects, she creates homes that balance beauty, functionality, and sustainability. Anne served as a judge for the 2023 KBDi Awards and was a state finalist in the 2024 program.
Independent Building Advice
Behan Flaherty, Director of Independent Building Advice and host of the Home Building Podcast, has 25+ years’ experience across design, construction, and strategy. Having shaped thousands of WA homes, he now helps families navigate building with confidence and better outcomes.
Living Oceans
Marine scientist and Living Oceans founder Ben Brayford shares how sustainable reef systems can bring calm, beauty, and balance into everyday spaces. Discover how marine biotech is transforming aquariums into low-maintenance, eco-friendly features for homes and workplaces.

With 20+ years in landscaping and horticulture, Dan has worked on everything from small gardens to large commercial projects. Passionate about design, his hands-on experience brings practical insight to innovative concepts. Now, he shares his knowledge through speaking and industry events.

Jayd Mills is the founder of Casa Mills Consulting, an independent appliance advisory service in Perth. With 30+ years’ experience, she helps homeowners navigate appliance decisions with clarity, reducing stress, avoiding costly mistakes, and ensuring choices suit their home and lifestyle.
Origin Flooring
Kevin Miller, founder and GM of Origin Flooring, brings nearly 20 years’ experience in timber flooring. With a 360° background across installation, retail and large-scale projects, he helps homeowners and builders make confident, practical flooring decisions that are built to last.
Plan & Plant
A qualified horticulturalist, she works with private clients, designers and landscapers in the residential sector. With a background in business and a passion for botany, she creates beautiful, budget-conscious gardens. She also serves on the Encouraging Women in Horticulture committee and volunteers on the 3CR Gardening Show.

Lucy Sutherland, Director of Insights & Trends at Temple & Webster, brings global design insight to Australian homes. A respected stylist, judge and lecturer, she translates trends into practical ideas, helping homeowners create confident, stylish spaces that reflect their personality.
Elsewhere Pods
Matt is the Founder and CEO of Elsewhere Pods, a modular design company redefining how Australians live, work and travel. Inspired by his upbringing in Byron Bay and shaped by the region’s 2022 floods, Matt launched Elsewhere to make sustainable, flexible, and beautifully designed living spaces more accessible.
WestOz Water Filters Cannington
Mavis Carruthers is a wellness educator specialising in home water quality. She helps families understand what’s in their water and how to improve it with effective filtration. Known for simplifying complex concepts, Mavis empowers people to make confident, informed decisions at home.

Tristan has led major Australian building companies and is a national judge for HIA housing, GreenSmart, and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards. A multi-award winner, he’s committed to raising industry standards and communication, driven by his vision to improve the way homes are built for all.
