Tell me about your business:

Impala kitchens has been in business for 40 years so it’s a very well-known brand in the kitchen industry. We’re known for high quality kitchens but we do all types of kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes as well as other joinery for the house like entertainment areas and vanities. Everything that goes in the house in the way of joinery or cabins, we make it.

Fantastic, so why did you get into this industry?

I started in this industry as a cabinet maker, and I just progressed through the ranks. I’ve been designing kitchens for 30 years. Impala Kitchens has been in business for 40 years with the current owners being onboard for 25 years, so it’s a very well established, trusted brand.

What is your best-selling product and what makes it better than anything else on the market?

We do cabinets and joinery to a very high standard. Plus the thing we do best is high quality, well designed kitchens. We’re definitely what you call a middle to upper market company so we have all of kinds styles and finishes that are available on the market in Australia today and we are market leaders.

Are you a large corporation or family owned?

Impala is still a family-owned business and has been family owned all the way through.

Are there any products that are Australian made?

All the cabinets and joinery are made at our local factory in the seven hills. However, the hinges come from Germany and the draws are from Germany and Austria.
