Red47 Studio — the Ascendant Series Red47 Studio builds fire pits and sculptural work in Gippsland, hand-fabricated from steel. The idea for this collection started with a fire ceremony. A group of healers described how they burn notes and objects to mark moments of letting go — then explained the vessel they used was two house bricks and an old metal dish. It seemed like the wrong fit for the moment. That question shaped the Ascendant Series: sculptural, multi-faceted forms drawing on the geometry of crystals, built heavy enough to be a permanent fixture rather than a seasonal purchase. The pieces are designed to change how people use the space around them. A fire built with some thought tends to hold attention differently — people slow down, and conversation follows. This year's Home Show display includes several new, smaller works alongside the large-scale pieces, suited to courtyards and balconies rather than acreages.
