This removes red tape for low impact work, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>patios, balconies, cabanas and cubby houses<\/li>\n<li>garden sheds, fences, privacy screens and some decks<\/li>\n<li>carports, driveways, pathways and paving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Do you qualify for a fast track approval?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Other routine work can be fast tracked under complying development, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a new one or two storey house<\/li>\n<li>home renovations<\/li>\n<li>a granny flat<\/li>\n<li>building demolition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>So what does this mean for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Projects that meet the standards for complying development can be approved by your local council or an accredited certifier in as little as 20 days, compared with 75 days on average for a development application.
