So, to help ensure a seamless retaining process, ModularWalls listed the <strong>Top 6 Retaining Wall Construction Mistakes<\/strong> so that you can avoid them!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mistake 1: Incorrect retaining wall panel\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Whether installing a standalone or integrated <a href=\"https:\/\/modularwalls.com.au\/residential\/retaining-walls\/\">retaining wall<\/a>, it\u2019s vital to start your retaining wall off correctly. So, it\u2019s essential you or your installer order the right retaining system for your required retaining loads. Every retaining project will have different requirements, so please seek further advice on which retaining system will be best for your project.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mistake 2: Incorrect footing depth\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As mentioned above, not only do you need the right panel, but it\u2019s also critical that the footing depths are correct. The footing depths are determined by the retaining loads and soil type and play an essential role in any retaining wall as the retaining load is transferred back into the posts. Backfill is a crucial component of retaining walls as it allows water to enter the agriculture pipe (ag pipe) correctly.
